First, Notices:
1. Changes in delivery day next week. Next week is Shavuot (which begins Tuesday evening). Thus we will deliver on Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, we shall deliver to the Jerusalem area. On Monday to Modiin, Tel Aviv, Kiryat Ono, Shoresh, Shoeva, Yehud, Gat Rimon, Herzliya, and Ramat Hasharon. Yup, we reach all these communities and would be happy if you tell your friends about us.

1. The first message is from Bat-Sheva, our cheese, bread and cake maker:
Good week. First, I am happy to notify you that we have transferred to real stone-ground organic flour. Also, we have a few new things on our produce list: Halumi cheese for 28 shekels, Gur cheese for 30 shekels (hard KASH cheese), and cheese cakes from goat cheese (recommended!) for 45 shekels.

Nero, leeks and latkes 7/12/09
Hi, happy holiday,
Lots of planting, sowing and weeding and weeding and weeding. Everything sprouts and grows so quickly because the sun is still warming, and, to the plants delight, the earth remains quite damp most of the time.
As a big believer in "a time for every vegetable under the sun" and eating what is in season at the time, I am sending you a collection of latke recipes - but not from potatoes. Besides, I wanted very much to link this to what the Maccabees ate at the time, when of course there were no potatoes or yams in our country.
