This week I am writing to you about one of my favorite crops - sprouts.
Of course, within this category there are many kinds of tiny vegetables, so this is actually a different way to grow and consume our vegetables, which I am very fond of indeed.
With sprouts you can see the wonderful magic of growing within a few days, and it is amazing!

Only a week late I'm writing the Purim mail.
Last week someone told me "I love your sprouts very much, but my kids won't eat them". So, while our home turned into a Pirates den, this story evolved.
It's based on a "real" story I heard from my great great grandma Rosy McMaggie (but it could happen!)
During the fall of 1678, they didn't really keep track of dates then, on one of many voyages out to sea, my great great grandpa and his band of merry pirates encountered raging stormy waters.

A lot of rain fell!
Our situation is now twice as good as it was when I last wrote about the water that falls from the heavens. We have now reached 42% of the average annual rainfall, whereas before we were at 21%. This is ADVANCE # 1, and the most meaningful.

Today I finished the first round of decisions regarding the species of vegetables to plant for the summer, and in the following days they will be planted in seed trays.
